Special training for delivery truck drivers? Chances are you haven't considered it. But the design of these vehicles creates special difficulties. Drivers often don't realize
they have large blind spots which lead to backing collisions. And frequent rear-end crashes occur because drivers don't allow for the straight truck's weight and long stopping distance.
Coaching the
Straight Truck Driver can be taught in half of one work day or given during four or five 45-minute slots.
No instructor certification is required. Each kit includes a leader's guide that allows anyone to
teach. But, if you wish, a representative from your local Safety Council can be contracted to teach the course at your site or theirs.
