Principles of Vehicle Extrication
This 8-hour course combines lectures with hands-on training and introduces students to the fundamentals of fire service extrication operations utilized at vehicle accidents. Subjects covered will include theory of
operations, tools and equipment, vehicle stabilization, occupant removal and operator safety. Fully approved protective clothing required.
This course is a must for all pump operations and firefighters within
a department. The course will highlight and update all water delivery systems within the fire service. Topics will include water supply management, water system fundamentals, pressurized hydrants, static sources,
relay operations, water shuttle operations, large diameter hose (LDH) and LDH appliances.
