The New Jersey State Safety Council and its Occupational Safety & Health Conference invite you to attend a special conference and training session on Emergency Preparedness & Response on Monday,
February 25, 2002 at the Holiday Inn in Jamesburg, NJ. Continental breakfast and registration start at 8:00 am. The morning conference begins at 9:00 am and ends at 12:00 noon, followed by
lunch. The optional afternoon train-the-trainer session begins immediately following lunch and ends by 4:00 pm. Attend the morning conference with lunch by itself OR join us for the afternoon
training session as well!
MORNING CONFERENCE (9:00 AM -12:00 NOON)
T.SteveKing,Delta Air Lines Corporate Manager of Emergency Response and Contingency Planning will speak about the airline's emergency response system
and how it responds to aircraft accidents. Steve is responsible for DeltaAirLines'comprehensive Disaster, Emergency Management and Business Continuity programs world-wide. He is a retired 32-year veteran of the fire service of NJ, the last 13 years as Fire Chief.
Carol Ann Genese, Coordinator for Bio-terrorism Surveillance & Epidemiologic Response, New Jersey Department of Health& Senior Services will present an overview of the state's bio-terrorism
prevention and response efforts including a review of the recent New Jersey anthrax outbreak response activities and their potential relationship to preparedness planning for the employer.
AFTERNOON TRAIN-THE-TRAINER SESSION (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM)
Joseph Serratelli, Council Instructor,will present the On-Site Emergency Response Planning Train-the-Trainer Course. Attendees will learn how to conduct this National Safety Council
program, which provides an overview of the strategy and systems behind emergency planning, and how to implement an emergency response plan back at their facility. Students will receive an instructor kit that includes the National Safety Council's On-Site
Emergency Response Planning Guide (2002 Edition).
COST:Costfor the morning conference and lunch is $55.00. Cost for the full day program, which includes morning conference, lunch and afternoon training session, is $190.00.

If you plan to attend the train-the-trainer session, kindly register at least one week in advance.
DIRECTIONS: The Holiday Inn is located just off Exit 8A of the NJ Turnpike, North or South. Take Exit 8A and bear left after toll booth towards Jamesburg. Follow exit ramp & make first
right into the Holiday Inn parking lot. Detailed directions will be mailed with confirmation.
