ANNOUNCING DATES AND LOCATIONS OF
DEFENSIVE DRIVING INSTRUCTOR TRAINING COURSES
US Department of Labor indicates workers are more likely to die in motor vehicle crashes than in other job-related
incidents...2,200 workers died in 1999, and another 100,000 were injured on the job.
In response to requests the New Jersey State Safety Council has received from organizations to train personnel as
instructors to teach the National Safety Council's Defensive Driving Courses, we are offering courses at a number of locations.
Students who complete the DDC-6/8 Instructor Training Course and Professional Truck Driver Instructor Training Course will be Provisional Instructors until they have participated in the teaching of two courses-DDC-6/8 & PTD Provisional Instructors are also eligible to have two points deducted from their driving record-they are also eligible for insurance premium discount. Council will issue regular CEU's if requested.
