OSHA 501 Trainer Course in Safety & Health
for General Industry
June 4 thru 7, 2002, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm each day

Fee: $625 for Council subscribers, NSC members, nonsubscribers, nonmembers includes continental breakfasts, lunches, course materials, certificate. Students must bring their own copy of the most
recent 29 CFR 1910 book to class.
This 4-day "trainer" course for private sector personnel from all types of industries is designed to present detailed information on how the provisions of the OSH Act may be implemented in the
workplace. Will cover rights & responsibilities under the OSH Act, the appeals process & recordkeeping. Course includes an introduction to OSHA's general industry standards & an overview of
the requirements of the more frequently referenced standards. Course allows the student to become an outreach trainer* & to conduct both a 10 & 30-hour general industry course & issue cards
to participants verifying course completion. In order to become an authorized trainer, student must pass a written exam given at the end of the course. Presenters: Niagara County Community

NOTE:Current general industry outreach trainers may attend OSHA 501 (all 4 days) in lieu of OSHA 503, as their required 4-year update.
