OSHA 500 Trainer Course in Occupational Safety & Health for the Construction Industry
February 5 thru 8, 2002, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm each day Course #: CR020502
Location: NJSSC Training Center, Cranford, NJ Fee: $625 for Council subscribers, NSC members, nonsubscribers, nonmembers includes continental breakfasts, lunches, course materials, certificate. Students must
bring their own copy of the most recent 29 CFR 1926 book to class.
COURSE PREREQUISITE: 5 years construction safety experience & completion of OSHA 510 Course (or the equivalent).
This 4-day
"trainer" course is designed for personnel in the private sector. Special emphasis is placed upon those topics required in the 10 & 30-hour programs as well as those that are the most hazardous,
using OSHA standards as a guide. Students are briefed on effective instructional approaches & the effective use of visual aids & handouts. This course allows the student to become an outreach
trainer* and conduct both the 10 & 30-hour construction safety & health courses & issue cards to participants verifying course completion. In order to become an authorized trainer, the student must
pass a written exam given at the end of the course. Presenters: Niagara County Community College OSHA Training Institute Staff. 3.0 CEU
